each 9" x 9" and 12¼" high • price: $650

Likely made to store and dispense various spices in a general store, these each display a wonderful theorem-like still life painting. A quarter-round roll-top allows for access. Interestingly, the names of the spices on the top of each were painted on a cylindrical roller – “mustard” and “cinnamon” are now the best displayed. Excellent condition overall.

Spice canisters, front and side views (closed).

Spice canisters, front view (open with lids off).

Spice canisters, side view and three-quarter view.
