Indian? Persian? Georgian!? It’s a bit of a mystery! This delightful, brightly colored needlework was stitched in the latter 19th century and features a large bunny eating some greens, a fawn, lanterns, string lights and geometric stars.

We acquired this picture in London many years ago in hopes of deciphering the bit of text framed in the middle between the pair of stars, but alas we offer it to the next needlework collector / detective who is up for the challenge!

Worked in wool on punched paper it remains in excellent condition with some very minor foxing to the paper. It’s in its original frame.
